Forum 1 SCRIPTWRITING IN NEW ZEALAND by Benedict Reid | Wednesday 2nd June | 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm | $2 entry
A brief introduction to Scriptwriting in New Zealand. Quickly touching on the techniques and tools used by scriptwriters, and then moving on to professional organisations and the creative opportunities available in New Zealand.

Forum 2 OAMARU STONE CARVING – An Overview by Neville Ware | Wednesday 9th June | 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm | $2 entry
As an artist working with Oamaru Stone, Neville Ware shares his “why” and “how” philosophy – introducing the medium, basic techniques, tools and the motivation behind his work. The forum will also have a broader focus as an artist in general on working with clients on commission – covering an actual case study and illustrating my “LALA” concept (Listening, Asking, Listening, Action).

Forum 3 FOSTERING CREATIVITY – by Justin Morgan| Wednesday 16 June | 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm | $2 entry
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to develop and maintain a creative platform for others? During this discussion Justin will talk about his experience as thus far whilst working with other artists to help foster and extend the communication and relationship between the arts and the community.

Meet with other arts practitioners and creative organisations in a networking evening for the local arts community, to be held at the Farsite Gallery & Arts Hub. Meet the featuring local arts groups, speaking on who they are, their presence in the arts community/up and coming projects – or simply come along and join a group of like-minds for a wine, conversation, maybe collaboration and certainly some inspiration.

5. AN OVERVIEW OF THE NZ FILM COMMISSION & FILM FUNDING IN NZ by Paul Swadel | Wednesday 30th June | 6.30 pm – 8.30 pm | $2 entry
This forum is aimed for all filmmakers and writers who want to know more about the film industry and how the New Zealand Film Commission operates. An overview of classical narrative and short documents (loglines, synopses, and treatments) will also be included in this interactive session with Q&A welcome.

Paul is a Development Executive for NZFC. He has worked both as an award winning director and producer for both drama and documentary for over 20 years.
